The Poetry Mission, a nonprofit arts group, was founded in 1989 to stimulate 
literary activity in and around Providence, RI. The Mission has sponsored 
Nedge, the publication of A Glass of Green Tea in honor of Edwin Honig, 
readings at Native Gallery, The Mediator Fellowship, RI State Council on the 
Arts, the Providence JCC, Cranston Public Library, Dick's Bookshop, and other 
locations, and various workshops and public events. Currently the focus of the 
Mission is on Nedge and other publication projects.
